Hi,
When will this problem be fixed? It has been unresolved for nearly two months now.
Issue
Some OneDrive shared folders shortcuts located in your My Files folder may show up as .url internet shortcuts instead of actual folders.
If I try to open the folder shortcut, it opens as a webpage instead of a folder.

I FOUND A REAL WORK-AROUND!!!
The shared folder name was having a space in it and I just renamed it to remove the space! I don't know if it was because there was a space or if renaming it is enough to fix the problem, but after having a VERY ANNOYING .url file since 2 months, it's now back synchronized on my PC as before!

Im Still having the URL Issue!
Me too - I had to reopen one drive app and wait for all my folders to be synced. Once that was complete all was well again.
Did you follow any steps? Are you on a Mac or PC? And what version of OneDrive?
I am on macOS 15.4 and OneDrive v 25.051.0317 and the problem is still here
The Shared folder is still showing up an an internet link in my local files (Onedrive/sharedfolder.url)

Fixed here for me today, the shared folders are now showing as folders in File explorer
