Since this morning, folders that are shared with me in OneDrive are always opened in the web browser.
Previously, these same shared folders always opened in Windows Explorer.
The fact that the files are only available in the web browser leads to a strong reduction in functionality and is problematic. I saved diles to the folder and different programs on my local pc call these files.
I followed the steps in the procedure:
Add and sync shared folders to OneDrive for home
I have performed the steps:
Unlink and re-link OneDrive
None of which helped or solved the issue.
This issue appears to have started after installation of the new OneDrive version Build 25.015.0126.0002 (64-bit)
A quick fix for this feature bug is appreciated!

I guess I have figured out the issue. Previously when a folder was shared, there was an option called "Direct Access". This is no longer there and the only option selected by default is "Share link". Dear OneDrive team, please review and reinstate the direct access option for sharing a folder.
So you mean your problem is not solved yet? anyway now you can see the shared folder on File explorer. Me not.
Mine is winver 26100.3476, onedrive 25.035.0223.0003 64b (insider) I tried to update as very up to date but everything is the same.
Furthermore, this bug/problem is not only about the FE sync issue. The Onedrive web also does NOT allow to Copy/Move any folder, file to(or from) Shared folder.
Could you check about yours?
It's strange, because with some other accounts, the shared folder is working very well still now.

Right, the problem is not solved, only changed a bit. As of today, my OS build is the same as what you list here. Through last week, my OneDrive version was the same as mentioned upthread: 25.020.0202.0001. However, as of today it has updated to 25.031.0217.0003.
Still today (same as end of last week), I can access the folders through FE, but they are 3+ weeks behind and will not update to current versions no matter how much syncing, reinstalling, disconnecting-reconnecting that I do. And files I've added in the past 3 weeks don't show up at all. It's like there's an image or something--a snapshot--of my OneDrive that is outdated and won't re-sync to update my computer.
Regarding:

I am finding I can not copy or move out of a shared folder into ny other folder other than the shared folder. I can copy in with drag and drop but the other way is not working, the "Move To" or "Copy To" button remains greyed out if any other folder is selected.
It's all quite klunky to work around. Hoping for quick resolution...
Your company sucks. You make me pay a fortune to have the privilege to be able to use Microsoft 360 then you don’t allow me to use any of my products because everything is web based and you won’t let me attach it to my device. Fix it now !!!
