This is even worse than I thought: We also had a massive increase in subscription price here in Australia, and it was claimed that we got AI for that, i.e. co-pilot. I just checked my MS-365 family subscription after paying the inflated new subscription, to find that I only get to make 60 AI inquiries per month, and that the other family members get none. If I want more than that demo/sample amount I have to pay another $AUD45 to get Copilot Pro.
So the obvious strategy for MS-365 users is to use Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude or DeepSeek instead of CoPilot so that those few credits don't get used up and your office software starts nagging you to subscribe to Copilot Pro. This is worse than not having it at all - without it you get less nag!
How do I alter my MS family subscription to get rid of this AI demo and get a refund now that I have already paid for another year?
