OneDrive shortcut appears as an internet shortcut instead of a folder

A OneDrive folder has been shared with me, but in windows File Explorer, it appears as a link rather than a folder when I add it as a shortcut to OneDrive "My Files". How can I fix this so the shortcut appears as a folder instead of a link?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I am experiencing the same issue, and when I previously raised a complaint, I received the same response (Link to my complaint: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/shortcut-folder-showing-up-as-a-url/1f7b0516-ffa8-4576-9d88-de7ad06b513e).

From this thread, I see that it has been over eight months since this issue was first reported, yet there is still no resolution. Could you please provide a clear timeline for when this will be fixed? This ongoing problem is severely impacting my work.
