OneDrive shortcut appears as an internet shortcut instead of a folder

A OneDrive folder has been shared with me, but in windows File Explorer, it appears as a link rather than a folder when I add it as a shortcut to OneDrive "My Files". How can I fix this so the shortcut appears as a folder instead of a link?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Same problem... Original post is from Jun 2024. My problem started a week ago. Is this a reoccurance or is it a continuing problem that randomly hits users?

no. recently they withdraw access from my account. blocked all access to onedrive and emails for 2 days. and then reinstated without communication. what a terrible organsiation microsoft has become

No resolution or Feedback till yet. Apparently this issue has been highlighted by many people since June 2024 and they have also been stranded till date.

It is time to quit microsoft.

two days ago i was emailed by microsoft to inform me that my account was suspended for violations of their policy. 600gb of online storage has been confiscated and access to my emails has been revoked! I have lost everything. microsoft and the cloud is not safe. i thought that it was the safest space to store all of my things. i could not have been more incorrect.

I no longer have access to any of my digital photos and personal files. it is insane. no feedback or justification given. not possible to speak to a human. all i can do is wait and hope that access is restored. INSANE.
