Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

OneDrive suddenly stopped syncing from Explorer to OneDrive online. This has happened on five computers currently. It was working fine until yesterday. I was able to work from the computer explorer, and it automatically updated online. I saw in the online forum that this is happening due to a bug issue, but it appears Microsoft is unable to fix it. Now, I will be forced to migrate all my files to another virtual server, which is very inconvenient. Is there any solution to it?

Working online is very inefficient currently.

Has anyone seen any updates to the Microsoft statement since June? Are there any estimates as to when this might be fixed? If you create a new Microsoft account, will that fix the problem, Does setting up OneDrive for Work or School provide a work around?

I saw this in the Mac thread for this issue: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/mac-onedrive-app-shared-folders-dont-appear-in/a9e0ef94-63a6-4522-94a2-9cac9fffd111?page=18](https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/mac-onedrive-app-shared-folders-dont-appear-in/a9e0ef94-63a6-4522-94a2-9cac9fffd111?page=18 "answers.microsoft.com") from [Shahryar Faraji

Just this morning, mine started working completely as before. I can access all my shared folders directly from Finder. I believe they are rolling out the fix in batches.

I recommend this step from OneDrive preferences:

    1. Unlink this Mac

    2. Uninstall OneDrive

    3. Reinstall OneDrive from the App Store

    4. Update your Mac, then log back in—everything should appear in Finder!

Has anyone tried this and the results were?

I have the same problem since Friday out of the blue. It was working fine in the morning and 2 hours later I had only empty folders in the Explorer. I tried unlinking and re-linking and all the tips from the MS website. I deleted all folders manually from my PC to see would they reappear but only some old unused files showed up again while the important files I am working with just came back as links. This makes working next to impossible.

How will I know that it will be fixed after all the changes i tried to restore it?

While I am glad (I know it's not the right word here...) that it is not just me, I really hope there will be a solution soon and I hope it will be posted here.
