Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

yesterday I bought a NAS and downloaded everything form onedrive for safety :( sad, but if there is no response to this issue for almost a year, what will happen if I cannot access something important?

I am wondering the same. My accounts should be Canadian, but I am physically in Europe.

I only synchronize the main account, which I use to pay. I received messages about the upgrade to the most expensive version and the messages came with a much higher price in Euros, in spite of my billing being Canadian.

When going to the website everything was looking ok and I even downgraded to the version without CoPilot to not pay for it when time to renew comes up.

I checked two accounts under account management. The one with "Search" is set to Canada.

A secondary "sharer" account without "search" was set to United States.

I changed it to Canada, so it could match.

Didn't notice any modification at OneDrive's interface. Maybe it takes time.

I guess this is indeed something new and not the same cause (even if the problem is the same) if compared with the issue faced by others here, for months.

    Hopefully it resolves.

I tried a couple of things but nothing changes the web version to match.

This is genius! I do have that issue, indeed.

Does this happen because one account is the "main" one, paying for it, and the others are guests? When you say half and half, do you have more than one account with "Search" instead of "Restore your OneDrive" at the bottom? I only see my main one with it.

My "main" account it on the "Search" version. One family member account is also on "Search" but the others are on the older "Restore you OneDrive" version. The kicker for me is the files I need are shared from one on the older version and tried signing up that old version account for it's own paid OneDrive use to see if that would force an update, and no joy.

We are all located in the United States.

Thanks, I have tried it, but didnt work :( Now 2 of my colleagues have the same problem since yesterday.

For the one who had this problem since last week, we created a new MS account and everything worked again, but only for 2 days. Today another folder became a link, the one for last week is fine... for now...

This is not acceptable, we are planning on moving to google drive and close all MSoffice subscriptions as well because of this.
