Folders Shared with me are syncing as internet shortcut in OneDrive on Windows PC

Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

    +1 for me. Same issue. Absolutely infuriating. Can't work. Spent hours today trying to take backups before attempting to fix it. Complete waste of time. Please fix this NOW Microsoft?

    Also having this issue since the newest One Drive update. The mobile phone version updated, so I can tell they pushed some stupid update that wasn't necessary. And since then, shared folders are broken, only showing as a .url file.

    Fix this or revert the update asap Microsoft. This is a joke, and I will be cancelling service if this isn't fixed promptly.

    Thanks for the information Abrahán González.

    I have installed RaiDrive on my PC, and have not spent long on it, only using for the last half hour. Some comments:

    (1) RaiDrive is free for personal / home OneDrive accounts.
    (2) I have only set it up with my main OneDrive account (no other accounts or cloud services).

    (3) It appeared to only give me the option of selecting a new drive letter ( I opted for drive letter O:) for the location to access the files, and not alongside my OneDrive folder on the D: drive.
    (4) The files appear as if they are local. No OneDrive local (tick) or online (cloud) icons.

    (5) So far, files open as if they are local, but surely cannot be, as I have ~1.5 TB of data, so I assume each file is opened from the cloud (I have a good internet connection speed).
    (6) OneDrive remains connected as before, which will allow me to check it, whilst continuing to use RaiDrive, until MS fix OneDrive!

    RaiDrive has been helpful in listing my files as if they are on the PC, like OneDrive was two days ago, but without the OneDrive extra features, such as version history, etc.

    RaiDrive has also been very useful in allowing me to compare the shared folder with its duplicate folder as one would with any two local folders on a PC. It appears the duplicate folder was an incomplete duplicate, so I could make sure that there was nothing in the duplicate folder that was not already in the shared folder, before I deleted the duplicate folder.
