Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

    Hi everyone,

It worked for me too. I had to remove the internet shortcuts first, then added the shared folders from the web using the "Add shortcut to My files" button from the menu at the top.

The other button, "Add this folder as a shortcut to My files" creates an internet link.

Really frustrating we had to wait six months for this to be fixed.

    Happy holidays and good luck!

    Hi Everyone,

It is still broken for me but in my hope of a fix I tried the remove the share and recreate etc etc .. but in doing so accidently hit the "Hide Folder" option and now find there is another crazy bug for non business users. BEWARE THIS

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/microsoft-onedrive-unhide-foldersfiles-which-were/9f5168bd-b7b2-479b-b569-2da7d2c3c36e?page=4

If you hide the folder you are desperate to map then it is never coming back to your "Shared With Me" folder.

What ever happened to QA and regression testing Microsoft ? You offer a bunch of features for collaborative working but don't collaborate with you users. 6 Months and 2000+ user reports in this thread alone not bad for a product we are all paying for !!

    Thanks.

But this is ridiculous as a workaround.

Buying a new PC in order to create a new account to solve a simple problem of a core feature of an commerical cloud store included in the most used OS wordwide of one of the biggest companies on the planet ?

    Give me a break!
