Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

"When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days."

    I don't think that's what's happening.

The migration finally arrived on my two main accounts, let's call them "Personal" and "Business" accounts, and what happened here is:

I'm logged into the OneDrive Windows app on my personal PC with my "Personal" account and on my business laptop with my "Business" account, but the folders are shared between each other, so I can access ALL my files, whether personal or work, on both machines.

My "Business" folders have "become" links on my "Personal" machine, but since I have the files locally, OneDrive has created a new folder, let's call it "Business on Personal-Machine", and is uploading ALL my "Business" files as if they were owned by "Personal".

The problem is that each account has 1TB of space and about 700/800 GB being used in each, but the files added together exceed the limit of just one account... and that's what they're doing now, all the "Business" files that were previously shared WITH the "Personal" account, are now owned BY the "Personal" account.

This is unacceptable for a problem that exists almost a year now. I have lost tenths of Gigabytes of Data for a Conference that is in the final stretch. From Marketing Material to Reservations and other crucial info and now I am flying blind. And the "funny" part is that I was working on that project when I started having errors poping up on a marketing material I was working on Illustrator because your incompetence transformed a folder to a shortcut and all hell broke lose from there.

Thank you Microsof OneDrive Product Group for such an amateurish move. I bet that you will ask me for the money when my subscription ends. Let's see who will pay my damages for your incompetence.

    Brilliant just brilliant

    This is UNBELEIVABLE.

The only reasonable course of action is REFUND from Microsoft side for all people UNABLE to use PROMISED features that they PAID IN ADVANCE!

This is matter for lawsuit against Microsoft - I no longer care is it their incompetence, dirty tactic or something third - it must be punishable by law.

I had many issues with Google subscriptions in the past, now same with Microsoft subscription and services.

Local NAS and p****** software is, apparently, the safest way to work. Unbelievable!

Hi All, My issue got fixed this evening. Onedrive share folders are working as normal for me. I didn't make any change so I think MS did something from there end. My folders are working as normal for both mac and windows.
