Folders Shared with me are syncing as internet shortcut in OneDrive on Windows PC

Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

    Hello Craig,

    Many thanks for taking the time to reply with this useful information, before I retired last year I was a for the last 35 years an IT security consultant an much of my day was spent securing cloud computing for my customers, many international blue chips. I designed many systems using cloud computing so I do know of the advantages, but since I no longer have gainful employment to pay the subscription for me, this option is too expensive for ongoing! But no doubt this is useful information for others, again thanks

    Since working with locally available OneDrive files is problematic, you may want to try sharing files on a cloud PC. You get super-fast speeds, which may make file sharing easier. To get the benefits, you should work exclusively in your OneDrive cloud.

    However, I don't do much file sharing to test whether a cloud PC would solve these issues. I have a Windows 365 Business account and don't own a business.

    I'm getting these speeds on my cloud PC. I can't get these speeds through my local internet provider.

    Tengo 2 equipos trabajando en v1 y el problema esta igual, hace unas semanas que las carpetas compartidas se trasnformaron en link de la nada ... y ninguna solucion ni respuesta por parte del soporte de ONEDRIVE, simplemente a Microsoft no le importa como nos afecta su problema ni tiene prioridad en resolverlo.

    Done today (April 20), my main account is now in V2, so I have shared folders and no longer links.
    Ouf!

    1 year for one account and 3 months for the others.
    Now I have to resynchronize 3 computers with 30 GB on a 5G network...

    Waiting was the solution.
