Reverting Aptos +body/+headings font back to Calibri, or using any other font

At some point in the last couple of days, the default +body/+headings font on my copy of Office 365 changed to the Aptos font. I honestly find it a bit hard to read, and I'd rather choose my default body font from a choice of whatever fonts I have installed. Failing that, I'd take Calibri again. The Aptos font reminds me a lot of

Since this affects all Office products, I can't say go into Outlook and change the stationery fonts; this doesn't impact the Reading Pane. It also wouldn't impact say Word, where I'd have to come up with my own document template to override the change. It doesn't seem to be a registry edit or template file edit, either. Is there a spot that the Aptos font can be changed?

    There is no single place where you can change the font of all Office applications.

    In the classic version of Outlook for Windows, the plain text font can be modified via Composing and reading plain text messages at File > Options > Mail > Stationery and Fonts > Personal Stationery.

    In Word for Windows, you can use the Font dialog box (Ctrl+D) and set a new default font.

    Hey, since Microsoft can arbitrarily redesign the documents that I create, I presume that it's perfectly okay for the rest of us to do likewise. Can you advise me on the best way to change the Microsoft logo to a caricature of Bill Gates and the word "Maikrosaft" in Comic Sans?

    Oh, it's not a thing I'm allowed to do?

    I guess Microsoft, Inc. is special. Gee, I sure wish us lowly grovelling customers were special like Microsoft. I sure wish that people like me with decades of experience in graphic design had the immense wisdom of the pimply faced coders at Microsoft, and could select superior fonts like they do.

    Is there a way I can pay more for this valuable service?

    Hi All,

    I had the same issue this morning.

    A Google search lead me here:

    This thread is 10 years old but it worked for me to change back to Calibri.

    Close Outlook and any other Office programs before you do this or you will get a "open as read only" message when you try to edit.

    Go to C:\Users(your username here)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

    AppData is a hidden file so you will have to show hidden items in the view menu.

    View>Show>Hidden Items

    Right-click the NormailEmail.dotm template and click Open (not New).

    Go to the Design tab, click the Fonts button/dropdown and blick to Customize Fonts.

    There you can change the default Body font to whatever you want. Note that you're only changing the typeface itself, not color, size etc.

    I changed the font back to Calibri and saved the changes as +Body (the default was Custom1 in the name field).

    Opened Outlook and my +Body font is fixed.

    WHY ON EARTH DID THIS CHANGE HAPPEN?!

    WHO BENEFITS FROM IT?

    Quit breaking Outlook, OneNote, Word, Excel ... UX/UI and functionality just for sake of ???

    Ridiculous waste of time for everyone that has been using and relying on these tools for decades to do REAL WORK!

    And that don't have time to chase down solutions to NON-PROBLEMS.

    What is driving me crazy is that Microsoft made it so that they can wave their magic wand and change EVERYTHING to their chosen font.... but leave us nothing that will successfully do the same.

    My company had a designated default font, but Microsoft's change has overridden our company default.
