Reverting Aptos +body/+headings font back to Calibri, or using any other font

At some point in the last couple of days, the default +body/+headings font on my copy of Office 365 changed to the Aptos font. I honestly find it a bit hard to read, and I'd rather choose my default body font from a choice of whatever fonts I have installed. Failing that, I'd take Calibri again. The Aptos font reminds me a lot of

Since this affects all Office products, I can't say go into Outlook and change the stationery fonts; this doesn't impact the Reading Pane. It also wouldn't impact say Word, where I'd have to come up with my own document template to override the change. It doesn't seem to be a registry edit or template file edit, either. Is there a spot that the Aptos font can be changed?

    In Word for Windows, setting a new default font for future documents based on a template is a fully functioning option. It is working just fine here (running Word, Microsoft 365 business subscription, version 2406, Windows 11).

    Since it fails for you, something is preventing you from saving changes to the Normal template.

    That "something" could be different things. If you are in a corporate environment, maybe IT support has decided to delete your Normal template regularly which would get rid of the changes.

    Suggestion box item for Microsoft: Please give us the option to permanently change the default font and styles, not program by program, though if that is too difficult then at minimum not document up by document, as in the case of Word (I tried making Calibrí 11 regular as the default font in "all documents based on the normal template," and what happened next time I created a new document? Aptos!). And also not by having to save a template somewhere and start from that every. single. time. Having to change the defaults for every thing I do is time-suck. Like others in this thread, I dislike Aptos and am frustrated with the loss of control over the look of everything I produce now. If you want to help our productivity, give us a way to make the changes we want easily. It's truly amazing how much time I now waste on correcting this on a daily basis.

    PowerPoint lets you set a new default theme. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/set-a-default-theme-for-your-presentations-c7cac1f3-1e77-43b3-97d6-914233cb98b8 (instructions for both Windows and MacOS).

    aptos is garbage. It's a giant pain in the web-based editor to constantly change everything.

    I've taken to copying old documents and erasing the contents so things like styles are calibri not garbage.. i mean aptos.

    Even the name blows... aptos? *sigh*
