Windows 11 File Explorer context menu missing View Online and Version History (OneDrive)

IF only it were that simple. I'm signed in. That's not the issue.

The tell-tale sign that this is more than that is that I still can "View online" from within the OneDrive pop-up interface by clicking on the three dots to the right.

But this only shows files which have been recently used. So if I want to open a file that hasn't been used recently online, this won't work.

Here is the answer for all of you looking. If this is happening on your machine, it is highly likely you are not currently signed into the OneDrive App.

I had the same issue. Look for the little blue cloud near your wifi/notifications in the system tray. It will have a slash-through if you are not logged in. If you are logged in, it will be blue.

After you login you will see both "view online" and "version history" in the context menu under other options.

Same request. View Online and Version History can help to increase work efficiency. It looks like 8 months past, and these functions are already in Window 10.

Can anyone from Microsoft aware of this need and update ppl here?

I got a new laptop a few weeks ago with windows 11 and the OneDrive context menu and overlay icons were working fine.

This week however they went away and I'm not able to bring them back.

This is quite a hassle.
