office365 App download/installation for macOS Big Sur 11.7.10

I have just tried to download and install the office365 apps, but received the notification that the install needs Mac OS 12. I am running Mac OS 11. But can't seem to find the office365 download version for os11. From where can I install the latest office365 apps for my MacBook running Big Sur 11.7.10?

For some reason I am unable to upload a screenshot of the error message. So the error message reads:

Software Requirement

This software requires macOS version 12.0 or later.

Same trouble here - my child's MacBook Air can't be upgraded to Monterey, so I could not install from office.com or the Appstore.

But thanks to the www, I found a way.

Have a look here: https://macadmins.software/

There I found a list of versions available. Version 16.77 should run on Big Sur and there is a link to the installer for the suite (https://officecdnmac.microsoft.com/pr/C1297A47-86C4-4C1F-97FA-950631F94777/MacAutoupdate/Microsoft_365_and_Office_16.77.23091003_Installer.pkg)

I downloaded the installer and ran on 11.7.9 Big Sur.

    Yes, same for me.

    They do not warn you before you purchase and they rob you by charging for the subscription without offering a way back.

    Horrible, I never did like Microsoft online and this is the last time ever for me.

    I installed version 16.77 with the link of Der Hennie. Worked well. But at the end of the installation, MS asked me to download version 12 what is not possible on my Mac. So who has another solution for me?

    Reference Der Hennie solution - we have iMac 2014 with Big Sur 11.7.10 (the highest version available now that it is unsupported) using a family version of MSO 365 apps running Excel 16.77.1 (23091703) (slightly newer than Der Hennie version) which works fine when on iMac only.

    The problem is the main MSO 365 account (Apps and OneDrive) is running on a Windows PC (Windows 10 22H2 Ver 19045.3570) with MSO365 Ver 2310 (Build 16.0.16924.20054). Thus, when an edit is made to an Excel document using the PC app then uploaded for editing with the iMac app it is being blocked.

    I am wondering if this is a function of drifting compatibility between an older version of MSO365 compatible with Big Sur (which is no longer supported by Apple) and the more updated versions of Win10 & MSO365 being used on the PC. Should I roll back the PC versions of MSO365 and WIn10 OS or is it time for new IT all round?
