Hi,

since a few days I have issues with Excel 365. Above the grid it mentions "COULDN'T REFRESH DATA TYPES We need to fix your account. Select Microsoft Excel from the top menu > Sign Out. Then Sign back in with an account associated with a subscription." I have followed the instructions by signing out and then in again however it didn't resolve the issue and it repeats. I have been using Office 365 for many years and just recently the problem started. Now I can't refresh the data. I have checked my subscription and there seems nothing wrong with it and is all updated. Kindly assist me with this issue.

hi, I can also confirm that I was able to get STOCK updates to work again after downgrading from 16.67 to 16.64.2208 1401 on my Mac Studio M1 MAX running Monterey 12.4. I followed full "round-trip" instructions provided in this thread and it now works again. My other Excel related Plug-ins/Add-ins for remote Data worked at 16.64 and 16.67 and still do after downgrade.

    Thank you !

This is important information that should be sent to Microsoft.

Use Menu Bar > Help > I Don't Like Something to send updates to Microsoft about this.

    Here is my observation

16.68 good only after 1st installation. NG after OS restart

    16.67 NG

16.64 Good (make sure you turn the revision check and update off when you first start any Office App)

Same for me. Not once but twice - After my initial support call and many hours on the phone with Level 1 and then again after updating the MS Office suite to 16.68 which didn't resolve this issue. Had to revert back to 16.64 while on a chat with Level 2 support who said update to 16.68 and let's see. Kind of hard to understand how such a serious issue can go this long with MS fixing this. I am on a MAC and assume this is a might be a issue for PC

as well. Waiting to see if the next release of Excel will address this most pressing issue.
