16.0.13801.20182 is the problem - either upgrade to 16.0.13801.20288 or downgrade as I wrote below and have been working for 3 days without the error.

This has NOTHING to do with Windows updates.

This is caused by the "Office 16 Click-to-Run Licensing Component" and its latest update to version 16.0.13801.20182 or later.

Rolling back to version 16.0.13530.20528 (aka "Version 2012") will solve the problem.

See below I have been error free since the downgrade after 3/7/21

If it's convenient for you, you could also revert the Windows update at Windows update > View update history >Uninstall Updates.

    Hi,

I have started receiving these error logs recently. I am running the latest available non-insider version of Windows (20H2 10.0.19042.844; kernelbase.dll version 10.0.19041.804). I cannot say exactly, when it started happening, but i'm sure it's not caused just by Office update (at least in my case), because I see it every day after startup in my event log. Important: it's not somehow preventing me from using Windows or Office, nothing's crashing, it's just a cosmetical issue, but I really want to know why it happens. When I use SFC it says everything's fine and there's nothing to repair (Also tried DISM, didn't help). All latest Office updates are also installed (Office 2019 Home and Student). I just wanna ask - does everybody run into this problem and this is a bug or this really happens due to the system files' corruption?

    Best wishes, George.
