I created a new plan and it came with the Default 6 color Labels for tasks. I do not need that many. How do I delete the unwanted colors/options? I can only find information on editing labels or how to add them to a task.

If I leave the label empty, then it will reside to the default label title (with the colours in the name). I could enter a space. Then the labels still exist and will be visible, but will be more distinct since it only a small coloured block without text.
I am with all of the other individuals replying to this request. We need the ability to delete (or hide) unused labels once they are defined. At the very least, I want to be able to pin labels defined other than default from left to right in the label view.
Typical Microsoft non-intuitive UX makes you think: this basic feature must exist, but it's probably hidden somewhere. Now I see here that this basic requirement is not sorted yet. This hampers cooperation across teams. You guys acquired a popular task manager years ago who know how to create a good kanban.
Couldn't agree more. Seems crazy not to be able to delete the labels you don't need. Please add this functionality
We need to be able to delete labels. there are two many to scroll thru.
the best thing would be if we just could f.eks hit + button and select color and name. to make a label.
