I created a new plan and it came with the Default 6 color Labels for tasks. I do not need that many. How do I delete the unwanted colors/options? I can only find information on editing labels or how to add them to a task.

@primo S That doesn't work. As soon as the label is empty, it is renamed to the default color-name.

i found the solution. just rename the label and remove the text, then press enter. Now it is no longer assigned or listed.

Completely agree, it does not make sense to display multiple empty and useless columns. The option to manage labels should be available, otherwise a great feature turn into rubbish.
Definitely need to be able to "switch off" / make labels not needed/used invisible. Not worth using as is
This feature needs to be adjusted! If you can't remove unwanted labels and sort by labels you have created, what is the purpose of the labels? Seems like a relatively easy fix, and would improve functionality significantly. Would really be useful for PMs
