OneDrive search not working

The search function in the top left doesn't return any results. It used to return results if the given search term appeared in either a file name or the body of a file.

    Good plan. A re-index feature is clearly needed. In fairness to MS developers, I would have difficulty in answering the question "What were you doing when the issue occured?" which is something I would initially ask when diagnosing a bug in any software that I have developed. I can say when I discovered the issue, but not the series of events that might have caused the index to crash, so diagnosing the cause is complicated.

    I contacted OneDrive support. 

    Thanks for contacting OneDrive support. I would like to inform you that, there is an ongoing issue with the search option and our engineering team is aware of it and they are working on it to find a permanent fix. As of now there is no ETA on having this issue fixed. However, there is two workarounds:

    Work Around 1: Manually look through the various folders on web. [very manual]

    Work Around 2: Install OneDrive in your PC, and search via File Explorer. You can install the OneDrive in your PC through this link: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=248256 

    Please have patience with us and as soon as the fix of this issue comes. I will update you regarding this.

    I have exactly the same problem. I can't find a file named "Master Reseller Agreement.docx" by searching for "Master Reseller". This is so obviously broken.  Fortunately I mirror OneDrive and Google Drive, and Google Drive search finds the document instantly.
