The search function in the top left doesn't return any results. It used to return results if the given search term appeared in either a file name or the body of a file.

Microsoft are hopeless. This has been an issue with users since Noah launched the Ark, yet they stuff around asking the same questions over and over but not fixing. I'm about to ask for a partial refund of my Office 365 subscription as Onedrive (that forms part of Office 365) doesn't work.
This is UNBELIEVABLE!! This thread started in 2019 - and they haven't fixed it yet??!!! I just started using OneDrive because it was free with the Office license. But I can't believe they don't reliably provide the most basic of all storage services, which is Search.
Or are they also unreliable on persistence and integrity of the files..........??
Just terrible.
This problem has been happening for years and years...Microsoft will not do anything and are not doing anything to fix it, as long as you pay them as that is all they are interested in..... Like most other large companies they are in it for your money.
I have the same issue with my android device. PC is OK. It was working great then a few months ago it returned only partial results, and now... none.

recently OneDrive for Android no longer finds data using search. The problem exists on several Samsung devices.
It only affects my business account. I also have a private Onedrive set up as a 2nd account, this one works.
The example in the screenshots is intended to show how the file "personalausweis..." is NOT found. But that worked 2 weeks ago.
Moving the files to another location did not help either. Uninstalling the OneDrive app and using an older version did not help either, possibly the server is not providing a response.
