We are aware of this problem and will release a fix in an upcoming update. Here are 2 workarounds that have been successful for other Community members. In Win 10, Right-click on the Start button and choose Run type %userprofile% into the Run box and click OK to open your local profile folder Double-click the OneDrive folder When you get prompted to allow access, click to allow access. OR In Win 10, Right-click on the Start button and choose Command Prompt (Admin) Click Yes to the User Account Control prompt In the command prompt, type the following command: cd %userprofile% press Enter on your keyboard 4. In the command prompt, type the following command: cd OneDrive press Enter on your keyboard 5. In the command prompt, type the following command: icacls %userprofile%\OneDrive /inheritance:e (where %userprofile%\OneDrive is the location of the folder you want to fix) press Enter on your keyboard If these methods do not work, OneDrive files can still be accessed from different locations, including phone, tablet and online. Any single file from the OneDrive folder can be copied and pasted onto the desktop and opened from there.

These workarounds still do not work. Please advise.

That's what I had to do. Put all of my office documents on my old windows 7 computer... Still upset that I paid for a program that doesn't work.

So when does MS plan to field this update? Those of us who have reluctantly migrated to Windows 10 seem to be out of luck with our Office suite. Major foul on your part. I am locked out of my Office files, and only seem to be able to store them on the cloud when I do get them back? I chose not to store them there in the first place. Not that I think they are truly hidden from snooping eyes, but at least I have a (perhaps false) sense of security storing them on a remote drive on my home network. Obviously that was a mistake on my part. As for the work around, I would prefer to go back to Windows 7 before I start tinkering with workarounds. Please field this patch soon.

Just want to throw my frustration into the mix. My wife spent two hours carefully editing a file and it cannot be saved anywhere. Whether you choose Save or Save As at any location (in OneDrive, outside of OneDrive, even over the home network) and upon hitting the save button the Save As dialog pops up all over again. Talk about being f**ked. The best work around I've found is to use CTRL+S, then close the document. I've been every single document. If you want to back up spreadsheets, copy the document, then paste it to the separate location. I've had success doing this and have been able to copy documents to OneDrive using this method. But, we shouldn't have to do this. And trying to do this for several documents is... well, words fail. I've tried Excel online, but the functionality isn't there. Note to Microsoft: HELP! PLEASE! SOON!
