Pictures not showing in printed versions of reports (or in print previews)

Hi all,

I have an access acce that i run on two different machines, one of which is in windows 10 /Office 2016, the other one is in Windows 10 / Office 2010. My Acces prints out perfectly on the 2010 version of Access and no image is coming our on the 2016 version on Office (the same Accde was printing perfectly as i had Access 2013 before the weekend) now no image is coming out on the print.

If I look on screen at the report, pictures are there, as soon as I get onto the print preview, images are gone !

This is probably a new feature of access 2016 that I am not aware of !

Can anybody help me ?

Patrick, I fully understand the affect this has had. And I couldn't agree more that a way of going back should have been made available. But it doesn't really matter how specific the issue is, a fix needed to be found, tested and then implemented within the rollout cycle. As I understand it a potential fix was identified late in October. And the testing made it miss the November cycle. Hence the December release.

    The word I have is it should be in the December updates. If you received 2016 as part of a Office 365 subscription, then it should be automatically pushed out. If you installed 2016 using an msi then you may have to download a patch. As soon as we know the patch # we will pass it along.

    Marc,

    I really can't argue with anything you said. It is certainly unfortunate that this had such a major impact on you (and clearly on others). Personally, I would not have upgraded until I tested everything. This is one of the good things about Microsoft's public beta program. It gives even the little guy the chance to test how new versions will affect their mission critical stuff. I realize that MS didn't give much choice, though I haven't been prompted to upgrade on my laptop which has Office 365. That's what I feel was the biggest mistake, not allowing a rollback option.

    Just to come back on the issue of the problem that people encounter. It is a matter of fact that this issue does not prevent access from "doing the job" as you say.

    I also agree that minor has not the same value to all people.

    We are a small company doing a jobs for a very large company, we are the image of this company and all our techs have a PC in their car and print out documents handed out to the customers of our client.... For us, not having the corporate ID of our client is one VERY big issue.... This is why I reworked ALL the reports with one of the workaround so as to be able to print out the docs again... took me many many hours this week... (most of my time actually). This has been a considerable loss of gain... I was working around bugs instead of working for my customer....

    I just hope that my customer does not mind that we have been handing out docs with no proper corporate ID for more of two weeks... (now the docs are fixed)

    One last point, I am an ex-PC user, ex-linux user converted to MAC... I have been able to find replacements for all the programs I used to have when on PC but ONE !

    I am an ACCESS FAN ! I have not been able to find proper replacement (just love VBA) in the MAC world... this is why I have a bootcamp partition on my MAC... just for Access....
