How can I configure Excel to open only one instance similar to 2010.

Excel 2016 when opened opens only one instance. However, let us know if you are talking about the ability in Excel 2016 to open multiple spreadsheets in the same Excel 2016 window? If yes, then this feature is not available in Excel 2016 and was discontinued since Excel 2013.

    Excel 2016 forces the user to open a new instance of Excel with each new file opened. This creates an annoying problem for me using the PersonalWorkbook (where I store a million VB Subprocedures). With each new file I open, Excel wants to open another PersonalWorkbook, but conflicts because it can't have two of the same files open at once.

    Is there a way to revert to using only a single instance of Excel??

    I have a few of my associates who feel losing the single instance/multiple spreadsheets feature was like throwing the baby out with the dishwater!
