Excel 2016 - One instance

Excel 2016 when opened opens only one instance. However, let us know if you are talking about the ability in Excel 2016 to open multiple spreadsheets in the same Excel 2016 window? If yes, then this feature is not available in Excel 2016 and was discontinued since Excel 2013.

It has been almost 2 years since you replied to "dollar489" in regards to muliple Excel windows in one Excel instance.

Can you tell us if there is any update as to a fix for this issue?...a possible add-on or work around?

I found the solution at home. I uninstalled 2016 and went back to 2010 and blocked all the up dates. I'm trying to get the same done at work. Maybe we'll get a fix for Xmas!

I just got Office 2016 installed, and the fact that I can no longer open four or five files in Excel and have their windows organized horizontally on my screen is really making me consider going back to 2010. I just tried with six files (and two screens), and Excel only showed me four: there was no room in the small laptop integrated screen to fit any more. The 19" secondary screen had only one file, since the other five windows were in the primary screen. That would not have happened in Excel 2010.

What They said.  This is so retro grade as to feel almost pre windows.  Kinda like X-Tree Gold or something.

Fix this in an update SOON.  You have too many other competitors out there that are cheaper more stream line, less convoluted and quickly incorporating features.  This is a waste of screen space and seems like a desperate grab for eye-time when we are already using your operating system.
