Office 2016 uninstalls my Visio 2013

So, even though I had followed the instructions to install Office 2016 from Office 365 home, it was not successful even after 5 tries, restarting, uninstalling, restarting...my biggest issue is Visio 2013. I purchased it as I need it! But why can't I find any way to just upgrade Visio from 2013 to 2016? There is no instruction! I do not want to buy the new Visio 2016 when I only purchased Visio 2013 a few months ago. Please help!!!

Yes! MS "improved" the Office 2016/365 installer to no longer allow install along side older versions of Office applications.

If you bother to read any of the previous replies you will see repeated several times that MS is giving away a free "upgrade" to Visio 2016 to owners of Office 365 business bundles and Visio 2013 to make up for this 'mistake'.  It is a time limited offer.

I cannot install the update for Office 2016 Small Business Premium (Even though I am paying for a subscription), because it stops and tells me that my Visio Standard 2013 will no longer work.  I bought both products from Microsoft.

I ask myself; Why am I still paying for a subscription that I can't use?

Too bad. If you had read the link and you have one of the Office 365 business bundles, then you could have gotten a FREE upgrade to Project 2016 ...
