Office 2016 uninstalls my Visio 2013

So, even though I had followed the instructions to install Office 2016 from Office 365 home, it was not successful even after 5 tries, restarting, uninstalling, restarting...my biggest issue is Visio 2013. I purchased it as I need it! But why can't I find any way to just upgrade Visio from 2013 to 2016? There is no instruction! I do not want to buy the new Visio 2016 when I only purchased Visio 2013 a few months ago. Please help!!!

    Stijn:

There is nothing we can to specifically help with this problem.  In theory with 365 Business and 2016 Project you should be able to install them on the same machine.  Thanks to MS's machinations it no longer always works.

You will have to fight the MS Support "dragon" again.  Call support and explain your problem, referring to the link you cited. Although it does not apply to your specific situation it may help. A number of people have reported that MS Support has had to take remote control of their computers and "do stuff" to make the installation work.

Sorry, that is not an adequate answer, but it is all I know at this time.

You can't. It is a "new & improved" feature of 2016. 2016 no longer plays well with others.  read the rest of the question, you will find the answer somehwere in 25 pages of replies.  The only fix is to take advantage of the extension to the "free upgrade" to 2016 for Visio.
