I am getting the error, “Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. 30088-4” when trying to install Office 2013. What should I do?

If you receive this error:
“Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. Error Code 30088-4”
Use this article to remove Office and then try installing it again.
Uninstalled Word but am still getting the same error code 30088-4
It was really disappointing to read the suggested remedy here. currently I cannot use any office program, and I anticipate that many folks got this error message (as I did) while trying to accept latest update of office. The steps you outline above to correct the issue will take a couple of hours of just unavailable time.
Is there anything short of a full uninstall/reinstall that can be done to mitigate?
