Use of own domain name with Office 365 Home/Premium

I cannot seem to find out whether I can add my own private domain, i.e. not a business user, but I own a personalised domain, with Office 365 Home Premium.

In other words, I would like to use ******@mydomain.com instead of ******@outlook.com.

I know you can do this with Office 365 for Business, but need to know whether this can be done with Home Premium.

    I have a Gmail account, but I want to have an email adfree and not to be concerned about targeted with ads. I love Google, I really do, but I am thinking about paying the extra $4 to get exchange for me.

    I think most of us all know that there are other Office365 options available at a higher cost.  The point here was that Microsoft seem to have overlooked the idea that a lot of families use their own domain name, rather than @outlook.com or @gmail.com.  It is cheap and convenient, especially if you decide at some point to change your email provider.  I was on Google and opted to change to Microsoft only to find out that I cannot add my domain unless I 'upgrade' to another O365 subscription, e.g. small business (which I am not).

    As I said earlier in the thread, I happen to be fortunate to have a Google account which allowed me to add my domain back then.  So I am still using it and forwarding to my Microsoft account.  It is a work-around but not the ideal setup.

    I just thought Microsoft should just look at what their customers are saying and take heed.  After all, it will not cost them anything to implement this :-)

    You can buy the Exchange only plan.

    It starts from $4/user/month.

    Wow I cannot believe I found this out of pure luck and random searching after speaking to several MS tech support people who have been way below par (even the local computer shop in the market can do better).

    I too went out and purchased office 365 home premium with the assumption that you can add your own domain like majority of families out there but i was mistaken.

    I wish i started the trial earlier than purchasing the whole damn year.

    This is terrible and i hate to think what would happen if something went wrong as speaking to MS is extremely difficult.

    My family use own domain. I would like to pay for Office 365 but I won't if I can't use Office365 with my domain. Microsoft should think about it.
