scrolling speed excel with filters

1. I am using Excel 14.4.3
2. The computer, now four weeks old, has 8 GB RAM.  Attached find two screen captures, the laptop running with Excel closed, then running with the 65000 line Excel spreadsheet with three filters and running slow. Now, I am not sure what swap, pageins, or pageouts are.  "Swap Used" in the lower left corner is 2.8 MB with Excel closed and opened/filtered.  Please educate me.  Thank you.

A couple questions - if you go to the Excel menu and choose About Excel, what update level do you have? It should be 14.4.3.

If you go to Applications > Acitivity Monitor and click the Memory tab, as you scroll with filters on, are you using swap, pageins and/or page-outs?  If so, you need more RAM.

Whom do I contact at Microsoft to address Excel "speed" issues?

I have just reviewed this thread, started November 2011.

Switched from PC to Mac July 2014:

1. 13 inch MacBook Pro Retina display with 8 GB RAM and 256GB SSD Drive purchased June 2014
2. Office 2011 for Mac purchased and installed July 2014
3. Work with 65000 line worksheets, use multiple filters, and have experienced the incredibly slow, jerky scrolling described in this thread over the last 2 1/2 years. (Slow is not a strong enough word to describe scrolling speeds which bring to mind cliches such as "slower than molasses in January" and "like watching paint dry.)" Load the same worksheet on a PC, no problems.
4. I cannot share Excel documents with Jim -- I work for a state agency; data is sensitive -- nor do I sense this is necessary as the recent video and suggested dummy worksheets demonstrate/replicate the issue. 

New laptop.  Newest version of Excel.  Spreadsheet exhibits same problems described 2 1/2 years ago.  Seek a Microsoft response.

Postnote: Excel for Mac was rolled out in 1985, two years before the PC version.  Twenty-nine years later, this product has taken a serious back seat to its PC counterpart.  This is unfortunate.  I cannot believe the software developers cannot resolve Mac Excel speed issues.

I am asking people to please share any problem files so they can be submitted to Microsoft for analysis. If you can remove all personal, private, and confidential from your workbook and then post it to a public site such as OneDrive or DropBox please post the link in a reply.

Please let us know how your are scrolling - dragging the scroll bar, using a mouse scroll wheel (the kind of mouse seems to be a factor), using arrow keys, whatever method really shows the slow scroll behavior.

I have now read this entire thread and followed every step, yes also reinstalled Office for Mac 2011.

On my MacBook Pro of end of 2013 with 16GB Ram retina 500 SSD, nothing solves the problem.

Scrolling - with the mouse or with scroll wheel is terribly slow.

My excel file is big with a filter, but on windows it doesn't seem a problem.

Am going to Numbers if this problem persists. 

I can't believe Microsoft doesn't do a thing about this!!!??
