You can change the theme in Office by clicking File > Account page in any Office product with the exception of Outlook. In Outlook, Click File > Office Account to change the theme.

There are three themes available in Office 2013:

White - Default

Light Gray

Dark Gray

    I've just installed November updates (15.0.4551.1005) and it still does not fix this issue.  ;-(

    Have you sorted this nightmare or what?  Either give us BLACK, or an option to pick any CMYK colour.

    Best improvement since 2003 was the black option for outlook on my multi monitor setup

    It even made up for having to buy ribbon alternatives...

    Bought Office 365 licenses but planned to use in desktop mode.

    Ouch !!!!

    Looks like the cook retired and MS lost the recipe. I am going to ask for my money back. Going back to Office 2010.

    This is absolutely dismal.  I bought Office 2013 and am reverting back to Office 2007 because the themes are downright awful.

    The fact that Microsoft is not listening to its customers shows Microsoft is more concerned with serving its Shareholders than it is with serving its Customers, a terrible business model.  How long would it really take Microsoft to provide an Office 2010 theme option for Office 2013?  Is this some ploy to make Office 2013 so bad that people switch to the Office 365 subscription?

    I think we all need to do a better job of supporting open-source software since the developers typically listen to people who use the software rather than stiffing them as Microsoft has done with Windows 8 and Office 2013.
