In March or April 2010, I purchased Office Home and Student 2010, online. I have the product key. I do not have a CD.
In October, the hard drive on the computer containing the software failed. Now, with a new hard drive installed, I need to re-download the software. I have searched the site extensively and have not found information about how to do this.
Please provide detailed information about how to download the software. Answers to an earlier question included a URL to a site for the trial version of software. When I clicked on the link, however, I was redirected to a page for purchasing full versions of the software.
Please help. Thank you.

Thanks for the help. found one of the several attempts at making a copy(disc to save) just in case was useable. so solved my problem in getting MS Ofc Student 2010 reinstalled.
my new problem is MS recognizes my password on iPad but not on the
new setup on hP notebook with new hard drive and loaded windows 7 instead of 8. Strange! Some things just will not open and play on iPad so must do with notebook. Also get tricked into downloading
additional unwanted programs although pop ups are supposed to be blocked. I have 3-programs which
may not have been part of MS window 7.....pursue point, highlightly, VO package. Do not know what they are. Why doesn't " properties" state what the program is and from whom? Does one really need to purchase and yearly renew a program to check the registry and correct it?! Doesn't MS take care of that in automatic cleanup weekly?

Do you have the product key for Office Home and Student 2010?
The link which you have provided in the above post is the only link which is available for Office Home and Student 2010 download.
Without the product key you would not be able to install Office Home and Student 2010 on the computer.

i bought the student 3 users package years ago, i just formatted my laptop, and realized i have misplaced the CD, i tried to get the link to re-download but could not find one. i also tried the link https://www20.downloadoffice2010.microsoft.com/usa/registerkey.aspx?ref=backup&country\_id=US&culture=EN-US
still, unable to download, anyone out there can advice how to re-download? really need it urgent as my works require me to use excel and words alot.
Edit your post to remove the Key
This is a public site, any Key posted will be abused and MS will eventually block it.
Assuming you key is verified, download/save the installtion file, then copy that installtion file to external media, together with your Key

Then run that installation file
Microsoft is excellent these days in thwarting abused keys, they also keep track of hardware ID's which is quite effective counter measure to combat thieves. Even tho' there is a 3 install policy stated in the EULA, there's a good chance a enduser would have to call in and get issued another one time key and is logged by them.
