hello,
i have a sony vaio with windows vista, would like to know how to uninstall OneNote 2007. i accently clicked on the ballon on the bottom of my screen and it installed and i really dislike this program. ive tried looking for an uninstall icon in the program files from hard drive, but there was none.
any help would be appreciated,

I am not sure why this has become such a hot button issue. I am sorry that my comments have made it worse.
I added the remove instructions at the top f the thread because I thought it would help people. It was done directly from my uninstalling it for a test. Let me repeat the basics of that instruction, since a piece of it seems to have gotten lost:
From Start --> Control Panel --> Programs and Features, find your version of Office in the list of programs. Click the "Change" link at the top of the list. Wait for Office to do the set up. On the list of options, select "Add or Remove Features". Click Continue. Select OneNote from the list. RIght click it and select "Not Availalbe", then click continue again. Your computer will buzz for a while.... When done, OneNote should be removed from your computer.
Please be sure that you have another printer available to that machine so that you get a new default printer once Send to OneNote is gone.
As for the other question: No - OneNote doesn't slow down my machine. I usually have at least one instance of it up and I don't see any slow down at all. In fact, installing it and getting it set up only takes a minute or two on my machines. I would love to know more about what is on your machines that is causing the slow down.
Some of us do care about OneNote problems. Just because I can't live without it doesn't mean you should use it. I am sorry for the problems this thread has caused.

I am one of the few. OneNote is terrible and bogs down my machines horrendously. Like the fellow at the top, I installed it accidentally. When I did, my e-mail went to Valhalla.
I am running Windows 8.1 with Office 2010, but with Outlook 2007 (because it HAS always been way better than 2010 (8 years with never a single problem) which we use where I work.
The most visible problem that started immediately upon installing OneNote is that when I try to delete or move an e-mail from my Outlook Inbox to any other folder, it does not leave the Inbox. It only puts a line through it and greys it out. I now have over a 1,000 greyed out, lined-out e-mails in my Inboxes.
Even when I try to move these lined-out, greyed-out e-mails to OneNote the same thing happens.
None of this was happening before I accidentally installed OneNote about a week ago.
I need to get this fixed. I already have over 1,000 of these in my Inboxes, so it won't take very much longer to max out my Outlook data files.

I have already posted this many times, not all programs worth the ink to publish it, Microsoft is one of them with any version of Office 2007 or later, because of their piracy act making you run programs that do not fit the mold of "EVERYONE" and OneNOTE is just one of them that EVERYONE can do without, because I deem it is a flat ou VIRIUS as to screw up your DAY and PC! To correctly Un-install ONEnote is to unstall he "MS OFFICE 20xx Student" Completely through the Control Panel, and with its CD handy, Selectively install MS Office without One Note. Most PCs now come with a trial version as you have about 15 times before YOU need to pay for the full Version over the I-net or get the CD version for $200.00 and do the installing your OWNSELF, as to be sure you do it right. I do not have to worry about it because I am using MS Office 2000 Professional, THAT YOU need to pay for the full Version over the I-net or get the CD version for $200.00 and do the installing your OWNSELF, as to be sure you do it right. I do not have to worry about it because I am using MS Office 2000 Professional, THAT includesMS Outlook as a email program as part of the Package, and IT does work with Windows 98 to XP, Vista and 7 so far with a bit of Finesse, with my choices, NOT the programs defaults. I do not need to use Microsoft's ON-LINE "Outlook.com" to read my email. It is used as a verifier as if I need to check things work with my email accounts. The only thing I need Windows 7 for, is to see certain accounts and do some disk management that Windows XP cannot do. Microsoft is making it a hell-a-boo about dropping its support for Windows XP nd its 153 + updates, are just huey to me because I already HAVE ALL the installer programs as SO I can start anew by rebooting Windows XP PRO without ANY of those stupid updates. I had to do it lately with three of my six PCs that specifically run on Windows XP because my very expensive hardware is worth more than two of anyone's elses PC with Windows 8, in which case is also a total DUD! IF the PC works at all, it is worth keeping; and MS OFFICE 200xx is NOT!

Why did OneNote just ask to be linked to my system no everything is all messed up. what are you folks doing? How do I remove OneNote. If I remove does it impact my programs?
