Can't open Word File because of end tag/start tag mismatch error...need XML help!

I'm using word mac 2008--- just the recording option that is inside the word processor

The reason the file is so large is because i'm using the notebooks tabs feature and record each lecture along with starting a new tab for each lectures set of notes.

since what ive done is not good, is there any way for me to get around this or separate the audio/tabs into different documents?

I was just wondering if any one could help me out and fix my document.  i have no idea about xml or anything code related.  The word file im having problems with is actually quite important.  The file contains ALL my notes for a class im in at a university.  It doesn't just contain text, but lecture recordings as well, which makes the file kinda large.

 

I could really use some help from someone who has more experience with this if possible, I have a paper due in less then a week and i need to be able to access these notes or I might as well give myself a F.

Also, i don't know if it matters but the document is in NOTEPAD layout and there are some different tabs.  I don't really know how or why this happened it was working fine last week

There is nothing wrong with your document. It is perfectly fine.

However, the recording software you used is so badly designed that it easily ends up in the top 20 of worst software ever. Instead of putting the recordings in separate files inside the document or within an OLE object, they put the recorded data directly inside the ADDINs field fldData element. As a result, the main part of an open xml Word document becomes so huge that Word (or any equivalent) can no longer load it decently. If you wait long enough it might actually get loaded, but I doubt it will.

If you ever have to use this piece of software again, ensure that your documents do not get larger than 50MB (personally I would aim at 30MB). As soon as a document reaches that size, just create a second document to record the rest.
