My outlook stop receiving emails nor can I send emails from outlook. There is no error message from Outlook stating why it's not syncing.

I've checked gmail acct, IMAP is enabled.

I've logged out of Outlook and re-link my gmail acct to outlook, didn't work.

I've uninstalled the new Outlook and set everything up, still didn't work.

This is the new Outlook version that i'm working with. It stopped working yesterday at 3:30pm. Everything was working fine then suddenly I couldn't send an email then noticed no new emails were coming in.

Yes - same problem here - I can't rely on new Outlook to display any new emails sent to me - has been going on since I switched from the legacy or classic Outlook. Sometimes new emails appear within a minute, other times it's 4 or 5 hours or longer, and in the meantime I've been asking the sender to re-send the email. For me the issue only happens with Google email accounts - almost as if Microsoft doesn't want you using anything from Google!!

A fairly serious issue for an email application - not sure why Microsoft thinks it's acceptable to not fix this, or at least display an error message if there is an issue with picking up new emails from the Google servers.

Here is what worked for me, after weeks of frustration. I realized that Google was trying to protect my account from becoming corrupted due to sync error, especially after PC Windows updates. :

Remove your GMail account from Outlook on all PCs, and your phone (all devices) by doing this:

Sign in to your Google Account, navigate to the Security section, and then under "Your devices," click "Manage all devices." You'll then be able to see all devices that are currently logged into your account. Sign out of ALL DEVICES even though some may be working fine.

Now sign back in on your PC with Outlook.

    Then on any other devices.

The problem is mostly with Google, not Microsoft. But both companies should meet to figure out how to either solve the problem, or have a simple way to resolve it without doing the procedure above. Once I did the above, the problem has not returned.

Use "Thunderbird Client". It's free too, and syncs with Google +++
