How can I get spam emails from these senders to stop? They are in the junk folder, so rules don't work.

This is an attack obviously targeted specifically at Outlook.com users and should not be overly complicated to stop by the engineering team.

Since it doesn't look like anyone in charge is paying attention to this thread, would anyone know the right contact to reach out to on either the management or engineering side to share this thread an/or report this issue?

Yes great points Josh. As I mentioned earlier being able to set a block filter of preview@*.* using wildcard characters for the domain would be a great solution.

As someone who work MS Support when Windows 95 was released I can say that this kind of issue would have been resolved within a week. We live in a world of pay more and get nothing. The more this remains unresolved, the more upset users will get. To Microsoft, upset users leave and find alternatives.

After months of having this problem of dealing with my crummy outlook email client, I’ve dumped it and installed Thunderbird were there is a junk e-mail filter that actually works. I use microsoft as an email server only! Thunderbird is superior in every way, runs on desktop, not online ****. Keep outlook to wait until microsoft fixes the problem which should be around 2056. Say so long to preview@

And before "preview" it was "renew". In the last few days a new one has been popping up- something like "Free Offer"

    Dear OverFifty

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community

I understand that you are always getting spam from <preview@***> and you tried to block these spam mails by creating rules but without success, it is really annoying to get spam mails all the time! We understand your annoyance, let's face this problem together!

About rules, they are actions that Outlook automatically performs on sent or received emails based on conditions you specify, such as moving all emails from a specific person to a folder outside the Inbox. Rules allow you to automatically move, tag, and contextualize email. Your current need is to block spam, so creating rules will not meet your needs.

You can reject spam by blocking the sender. For more information, please refer to the link:

Please feel free to contact me if you need further assistance!

I wish you all the best
