Outlook.com emails being rejected and returned by sbcglobal.net, att.net

I am aware of other questions being posted regarding this issue, but most seem to directed to corporate email, and not individual home users as myself.

As best as I can tell this problem started yesterday, August 6, 2024, when any email I sent to an sbcglobal.net or att.net email recipient was rejected and returned with the following message:

Undeliverable: Fw: PRAYER BREAKFAST, SAT AUG 10, 2024, 8 AM, at MIMI's CAFE

To: You Wed 8/7/2024 5:15 PM

This message is able to be sent again Send again

Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

<recipient email address>

Your message wasn't delivered. Despite repeated attempts to deliver your message, the recipient's email system refused to accept a connection from your email system. Contact the recipient by some other means (by phone, for example) and ask them to tell their email admin that it appears that their email system is refusing connections from your email server. Give them the error details shown below. It's likely that the recipient's email admin is the only one who can fix this problem.

The remaining information contained in the bounce message applied to email administrators, which is not applicable to me as a home user.

This problem occurs on both my windows 11 laptop, and my iPhone 13, and occurs with both classic Outlook and new Outlook. It occurs rather I send to a single recipient to multiple recipients in my contacts list.

I was able to send emails to these recipients as late as last Friday, August 2, 2024.

What solutions does Microsoft have to help resolve this issue?

UPDATE: I called AT&T again. I got to a supervisor (Andy). He acknowledged that there is currently a known issue between MSN/Outlook/Hotmail and AT&T.net that they trying to resolve. The problem has been going on for about 10 days. They say give it 24-48 hours. Again, the ticket # is 021-656-3156 and it is from the Digital Assistance Center (there are different ticket # for different departments). Customer support line is 800/288-2020.

I have no clue why MS isn't communicating with AT&T to get this resolved since it is affecting their customers and has been for 10 days. Seems a bit ridiculous that an individual in a small town is doing this for them. Jeez!

Microsoft Support Your reply is unacceptable. I am also trying to send to att.net from my MSN.com account and att.net rejects my email.

However, if I send the same email from my me.com Apple email account then att.net has no problem accepting the email.

This is ridiculous and I need to start using my Apple email account and quit using Microsoft because your support has become a joke!

    Joe and Netgrandpa,

Since MS isn't helping, I decided to work from the other direction. After doing an online chat with ATT I finally got a phone # for email customer support. It was about a 15 minute wait on hold before I got a person. They asked for my account # but I quickly went into the problem. Fairly quickly they "escalating the issue". They said that this was the first they heard of this issue. The phone # is 800/288-2020. The ticket # is 021-656-3156. I suggest that you call and add your info to the ticket to help move this along.

This problem is affecting YOUR customers. This is clearly a technical problem between technology companies. We are your customers, not technology people. You should work to fix the problem for your customer not point the finger at someone else and tell us to deal with it. At this point I am BEYOND frustrated.
