How do I fix Outlook is suddenly not sending or receiving emails?

I couldn't get my New Outlook account to work with my spectrum mail account. I tried deleting my email address in order to re-add it, but then I couldn't even add it so I couldn't even get back into New Outlook. I read that we need to try to get back to Old Outlook, so I found the download for Old Outlook on Microsoft support here: You can't open classic Outlook on a new Windows PC - Microsoft Support . I downloaded it and was shocked to see that everything worked perfectly, my emails and files are all there. Even though I had deleted my email account from New Outlook and couldn't get back in, I didn't have to re-add my account...it was all just there!

I am using New Outlook, and mine did the same a few days ago. Then, suddenly, it stopped working after about two days, so I am again reverting to the Gmail browser UI.

With it working and then failing intermittently, I am at a loss as to what to do.

I can not send or receive emails on my laptop. I have checked my email on outlook.live.com and nothing appears. Can you advise how to sync and restore function?

I've not been able to send or receive emails since Friday 7th February. I've spent hours trying to sort it with no luck. Most of the help is of no help whatsoever. Microsoft on-line help indicated that if I purchased the Microsoft 365, I could chat with an advisor....! I recently had to reinstall Microsoft Office, so maybe that is part of the problem...someone on here had installed Microsoft 365 and couldn't then send or receive emails until the Microsoft support person moved him to the old version of Outlook and he was able to get Outlook working again. As I already have Microsoft Office, I don't really want to pay £84.99 for Microsoft 365. I will keep trying...
