My Outlook account is not downloading or sending messages. I am able to login and I have used the sync button. Anyone else had this happen and know how to resolve it? I've used the Microsoft help and it was not helpful at all!

I'm not sure what Spectrum is. My email provider is Telstra/Bigpond, but I'm having exactly the same problems with receiving & sending emails with new Outlook as others have described. I can receive, but not send, emails if I revert to old Outlook. Thankfully, I can also receive emails on my iphone.
I have tried re-installing Microsoft 365 & have spent hours trying to sort this out, but nothing seems to work & I'm getting a bit chuffed off about it. Why is there no fix? Why are we paying Microsoft?
It says a lot about Microsoft when we look to fellow users to try & fix issues. I am the first to admit I'm not very bright about technology: I gained my medical degree before the advent of widespread computer use.
I just want to be able to send & receive emails...
I talked this morning (2/12/25) with Spectrum about this email issue. My Outlook stopped charter.net email for me on 1/31 and today it's now not working for my husband. It's not on Spectrum's side at all. It is something inside of this new Outlook that overtook Mail for Windows, which we really liked. The new outlook, not so much!
How do you switch to Spectrum Webmail? And will that affect Microsoft Office, because it seems they are connected some way, even though I am able to access Office. And this happened about the same time as everyone else. I still can get my emails on my ipad, thank goodness.

I did check with Best Buy's Geeksquad (where I bought my laptop) and they mentioned that anyone with a IMAP type email account used by Roadrunner on Spectrum (uses .rr in the email address) is no longer compatible with Outlook. The change was recent and the Geeksquad tech noted that they have had a number of recent cases of Outlook users with Roadrunner email accounts reporting receiving and sending email problems. The solution was to switch to using Spectrum Webmail (which isn't as good) but I can get emails on my laptop again.
