I'm not using "the new Outlook", I'm staying with the "classic Outlook". Since I don't use it, I have to delete the app. To my surprise, it re-installs itself after a period of time. It's super annoying since I have to keep deleting it How do I stop this from happening?

Yes, there are some alternatives to Windows Mail (and calendar), depending on your needs the following

are some of the best current alternatives, according to me:

    • Wino Mail E-mail app that looks very much like Windows mail, it does not have the calendar function, it supports multiple accounts, has a free limited version and a paid version.
    • Thunderbird Has the Firefox look, has both mail, calendar and instant messaging, supports multiple accounts, it is absolutely free, you can add extensions, and a lot more.
    • Betterbird More or less the same as 'Thunderbird, but less buggy, and it works offline.
    • Bluemail E-mail and calendar, supports multiple accounts, has a free and a paid version.

And there are of course many others.

Why isn't MS adding to the conversation, and helping? They are silent. How do we stop Outlook New from constantly and repeatedly installing? I have uninstalled it every time it installs. Sometimes multiple times a day. As fast as I uninstall it, it reinstalls itself. Outlook New is awful. It is not ready for prime time. Why is MS forcing this on us, and constantly installing it, as fast as we uninstall it? Has NS not gotten the idea that we do not want it? It really screws things up, especially at sites with multiple computers on a network. Is there not a way to STOP Outlook New from repeatedly installing?

Another forked solution finally helped me: https://github.com/SempaiRock/OutlookRemover

Just follow the instructions and Outlook New is gone.

Further to the instructions, after installing the script I turned off Windows Developer mode.

I have tried it and still have it set up as a back up. but it is a pain. Every time you open it you have to wait for it to down load all your emails al over again, it can take a couple of minutes. I don't like it at all.

I love Wino Mail and how it does a number of things to improve upon Windows 10 Mail (e.g. email aliases, special folder configuration, etc) however this is the one thing that bothers me about it and is why I'm still using Mail for reading/viewing emails (not sending/deleting them though as Wino manages/does that better due to it actually working properly with the Sent Mail/Deleted Mail special folders).
