Hi, I'm running the new version of Outlook on Windows 11, and have connected to both my Uni (O365) and Gmail (Microsoft Cloud). O365 works fine, but the Gmail account doesn't sync read status back to gmail. I.e. outlook gets the correct read status from Gmail, and it syncs things like starring/flagging emails back to Gmail. But although I can mark things as read in Outlook, that status never syncs back to Gmail. The same is true on 3 different PCs, so it's not peculiar to one particular computer.
Any ideas?

This is my biggest complaint about their rollout of New Outlook. I would really like to use it and provide feedback, but Micrsoft never even acknowledges my efforts, let alone tell us that they are planning to fix something. My guess is that they're not devoting many resources to this product.
Does anyone know if Microsoft has officially acknowledged this issue?
Can confirm I have the same issue. Delete syncs fine, but the read status does not. Also confirmed IMAP is enabled on Gmail.
Also experiencing this issue with New Outlook. Only certain accounts in our company, though. I set up my personal account to sync between Gmail and Outlook and it worked fine right away. However, not everyone has had that same experience, even after "resetting" all of their POP/IMAP configurations and double-checking SMTP.
Edit: Another interesting tidbit is that the users having sync issues can load "Old Outlook" and the syncing is accurate
Same issue with NEW outlook 365.
