How do I enable copy and paste in the new outlook?

I am not able to directly copy any documents from Explorer and then go to the email that I am working on to paste onto the emial. Before with the Old Outlook I was able to to do this easily but the New Outlook requires me to go to the "paper clip" Icon above then search thru the Explorer to find the file then the specific documents(which couple be hundred documents); this process takes sometime 5 miniuets to find the exact document to copy and paste. I need to do it the Old Outlook ways or "Classic" format so that I can do just the cut and paste as mentioned earlier of this email. Pleas advise ASAP thanks.

    Well now I can save a "New Outlook" email to an external and able to open the "New Outlook" email.

    I can not open a previously save "Outlook" email as I receive the message below;

    I will see if I can open the "New Outlook" to read without being connected to the internet, as I was able to do with "Outlook"

    Thanks

    It looks to me that Outlook Desktop is trying to open the file. Try the following steps to set New Outlook as the default for .eml files so that it will open them.

    1. Right click the Windows Start button and click Settings
    2. In Settings search for Default Apps
    3. At the top in the box for "Set a default for a file type" enter .eml

    Mine was set to the Mail app

    1. Click that arrow to the far right to select another Default app and switch it to New Outlook
    2. Click Set Default

    Gabriel,

    Thanks for the response, that work for me as well so at least I can save one at a time and then move it.

    The other issue is that emails that were previously saved (in the manner referenced originally), I receive the following when trying to open the email.

    @Chuck Ze,

    I repro the same issue you do that drag and drop is not working. The option that currently works for me is right click the email and click Save but that is limited to one email at a time.

    I found the bug for this, and the fix was supposed to come from Edge in builds higher than 125.0.2500.0. I installed Edge Canary that has this build and made it default browser, but the issue persists. I get errors saying that the browser crashed or no error and a blank Downloads dialog. I'll test more later when I can look into it further.
