Copy meetings from one calendar to another no longer supported

I'm using Outlook 365 on my Windows 11 PC, and the Outlook android app on my smartphone. On the PC, I have a work calendar, an association calendar, and a private one. The android app only has the private e-mail account and calendar (this is for security reasons). Until very recently, I have been able to copy meetings from the work and association calendars to the private one on my PC, so that they show up in my android Outlook app.

Microsoft has removed this functionality without warning. Outlook blocks copying meetings with “Copying meetings is not supported.” - Microsoft Support.

The workaround (involving editing the regsitry) works, but what is the long term solution?

    Dave, you are right on target with your reply to Gabriel. M$ has made a science out of non-answering.

    I did find on another post (from a customer, not from M$), a solution to copy a meeting from one date to another - not sure that will address your need, but here it is:

    In Calendar, right click and drag the original meeting to another day (any other day). A box will appear with choices, choose "Copy". The original meeting will now be copied where you placed it. You can then open it and change the date/times to whatever you want.

    AGREE!!! Microsoft do you hear us!!!

    RETURN ABILITY TO COPY MEETINGS!!!

    (I have many meetings that need to recur - but are not able to do so on a regular occurrence/series).

    RETURN ABILITY TO ADD AN ATTACHMENT TO A MEETING I DID NOT CREATE!!!

    (I add/attach agendas sent in emails to my execs meeting invite so it is there and they don't need to look for it)

    RETURN THE FULL MENU - INSTEAD OF THE SHORTENED THEN HAVING TO CLICK "SHOW MORE OPTIONS"!!

    (What? Now I have to click two times?!)

    RETURN ABILITY TO RIGHT CLICK AND DROP DATE IN AN EXCEL CELL -
    (What? Now we have to ctrl and click to drop something in a cell?!)

    So much for efficiency.....I used to like my job....but Microsoft is making it very difficult.....

    Why not just fix Outlook? Fix the problem rather than disable features that people use.

    I appreciate your sincere attempt to give a helpful answer. You're doing what you were instructed to do. You may not be understanding that your instructions are tantamount to "keep sweeping this under the rug."
    What you are not understanding, and this is coming from a former developer as well as a former manager of development, is that the "risk of the copy function causing corruption on meeting items" is the bug that MS should have fixed from the beginning. THAT BUG is the source of all this angst and probably loss of some of your customers. MS has this 'meeting copy corruption bug' and instead of fixing it they simply stopped 'supporting copy.'

    Thanks for offering to share the feedback. It won't matter. Whomever is in charge of development would rather not endure the embarrassment of acknowledging what I just wrote. Or bean counters higher up decided it simply isn't worth the expense of developer labor to fix it. Either way, this is stunningly inept.

    Will that work for users at a business that locks users out of making changes to laptops and computers ?
