I'm using Outlook 365 on my Windows 11 PC, and the Outlook android app on my smartphone. On the PC, I have a work calendar, an association calendar, and a private one. The android app only has the private e-mail account and calendar (this is for security reasons). Until very recently, I have been able to copy meetings from the work and association calendars to the private one on my PC, so that they show up in my android Outlook app.
Microsoft has removed this functionality without warning. Outlook blocks copying meetings with “Copying meetings is not supported.” - Microsoft Support.
The workaround (involving editing the regsitry) works, but what is the long term solution?

This only works if you want to MOVE the meeting from one calendar to another. It doesn't create a duplicate onto the 2nd calendar. In the new outlook, you can use the "duplicate" feature and unfortunately that resends the invite to everyone in the meeting.
There are a lot of features no longer available that have huge impact on organizations.
I find it mystifying that we can get photos of Mars, far-off galaxies, and even possibly habitable planets, but Microsoft in its usual, "let's surprise them" move, has vaporized a function that made my life so much easier with two calendars and clients with meetings. This is a technology bridge too far as they hurl us into the "NEW" outlook which is clunky, weird, and just plain annoyingly inferior to what they are trying to replace.
Good job again Microsoft! Another product was destroyed!
Gabriel, Are you a real person? Just curious because the 80% of us who are in corporate America are fatigued with seeing this work-around that we can't even try to use because our systems are locked down.
Even if we could, forcing us to use a manual work instead of fixing your design problem is really, really poor look. I know it's not your fault, it's your management. Let them know many of us are seriously displeased and that them sending you here to keep posting this "fix" makes them look even worse.
How do I actually add the reg key entry?
It's gone because of the headaches it creates (exceptions). Anyone who has supported Exchange / Outlook for any length of time will tell you that copypasted or drag n dropped meetings can become corrupt very quickly, and it becomes a support nightmare.
Instead of blaming Microsoft for removing what was a terrible feature to begin with, why not just create a new meeting ?
