From your post, I understand that you need assistance with importing .ics files in the Outlook new application.
Kindly try the steps below to resolve this issue:
- Open Outlook > Go to the default calendar
- Click on file > Open.
- Select import/ export file.
- Under import/ export wizard select import an icalendar file.
- Select the file to be import from the saved location.
- Check with the outlook default calendar.
Also, you can try the steps below:
- Download the ICS file
- In the file explorer, navigate to the file and right click
- Open with > New Outlook (with the letters 'PRE' on the icon)
- Select which calendar to add the event to and confirm
After doing this once, opening the ICS file directly allows me to add it to my calendar.
