I use the Outlook web app on MacOS, and selecting text word by word no longer works (shift + option + arrow on a Mac keyboard). This stopped working sometime this weekend. I tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari) and multiple Macs (Two different MBAs and one MB Mini). I tried it on a PC and it works fine. It seems that something broken on the web app for Mac users over the weekend.

This is a critical shortcut for things like copying and pasting or deleting. Anyone having the same problem and has an idea of what to do about it?

Well, it looks like MS might have made the behaviour a bit more sensible now… I've noticed in the last week that:

    • Pressing or holding the Option key no longer brings up the accessibility features
    • However, pressing it TWICE without typing anything else (inc arrow keys) does now bring up the accessibility features
    • If the accessibility features appear, then tapping Opt again, or using the escape key, gets rid of them

This occurs (for me) even with the latest tampermonkey script posted here, which I'm quite impressed by given the script tries to nullify and/all opt-key presses. However, the accessibility features now pop up so rarely, and are easily dismissed if they do, that the script may no longer be necessary.

Which is the right script to use with tampermonkey? I'm still experiencing the usual issue. :/

Not sure which of the many issues this thread has covered is the "usual" one!

However, the most recent - where holding down the option key brings up accessibility shortcuts and loses focus in the edit window - is fixed by https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/512765-fix-outlook-mac-hotkeys-hijacking

The previous issues don't seem to exist any more. If you're spotting something wrong, please post full details of how to recreate.
