According to the offer Outlook is supposed to be ad free after signing up for a paid subscription.
I paid for a yearly subscription and still get ads in Outlook.
I tried, repairing, resetting, uninstalling and reinstalling the Outlook App yet the ads still won't go away.

You guys ripped me off!!! I paid the monthly cost but I am still seeing unwanted and very annoying ads when I try to read my emails Either give me what I paid for or I am going with Chrome Book and will never use your Microsoft software again. This is borderline fraud. I am a businessman myself and do not operate that way. removed

How does one toggle old/new in iOS?
I fixed this by opening the old outlook, then toggle "New Outlook"

Ditto. This just happened to me after I updated my Android app. Only happening on my Pixel 8. Tried deleting and reinstalling. No good. Installed the Officec365 app which shows I'm valid as a subscriber. Launch Outlook...still ads. Guess they don't want me to remain a subscriber.
