Hello, I have changed my password with outlook and after I tried to updated with BlackBerry hub services either on my android device or Pixel 8 can't authenticate or connect to server errors persists. Microsoft Azure certificate comes faulty as well and I need a solution for it because it looks like nobody in this office using BlackBerry hub app in pixel 8 and even BlackBerry key2 can't connect to outlook. After uninstall and reinstall does the same "can't connect to server" or "can't authenticate" error not on exchange server, imap or pop. I tried everything and Microsoft seems not to answer questions about it.

thanks for the solution, but this works only for emails with BB Hub. Contacts and Calendar is not synced.

I agree my contacts are not synced. I have used the blackberry hub with my Samsung s 22 for over 2 years and also have had the update password and update settings pop up messages since end of January.

Its very hit and miss. I just deleted my Hotmail account within Hub+ from my TabS5e, to try a workaround; the workaround didn't work, but was able to add my Hotmail to Hub+ without any issues, using all the Hub+ default settings.

As an experiment I setup the Samsung Mail app on my phone and that works with my Hotmail, without any authentication prompts.

Currently on Hub+ I am still getting regular password update prompts, which I now just clear; however, the app seems to be synching ok.

hey, happy it worked for you. but this isn't working for me. i am unable to add my hotmail account to the BB Hub anymore. Tried hotmail.com & outlook.office365.com for server and ports 443 & 993 - both / any combination didn't work as yet.

So, people DO NOT DELETE THE ACCOUT on the BB HUB, live with the pop up for now.

    Hi all,

The Outlook Team has updated the guidance about this issue, Outlook and other apps are unable to connect to Outlook.com when using Basic authentication - Microsoft Support.

A key take away is that everyone needs to work towards being on apps that support OAuth for Outlook.com. If you are using Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016 an immediately available free option is to install the New Outlook, Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Apps. We will continue to update the guidance with learnings and status updates as we go.
