My desktop outlook app will not open

I think that you can go to your start menu. It will pop up a list of frequently used apps. But there is also an option to list all of your apps. Click on that option. From the list of apps, scroll down to Outlook, and right click on it. That should give you an option to pin it to your taskbar. Once it is on your task bar, then you can right-click on the Outlook icon and see a list of Outlook options. Click on the Calendar app. It should come up. Then you should be able to go to the upper left corner of the Calendar app, and click on the Mail app. Magically, it should come up that way. I call it the back-door approach. Once you get Mail running, when you are done with it, it is easier to just minimize Mail instead of closing it. Then, in your next Mail session, you can just click on the icon in the task bar and the Mail app should pop right up.

I did steps 2 & 3 above, created new profile, but in this process I lost all my contacts & notes since the .pst files were not carried over into the new profile. I do not have the old profile listed as an option to log into either. How do I get this data back and load into the new profile? Very frustrating.

My fix always opens up Outlook for me but only for a while. The MS fix is also only temporary in my experience..

Outlook will not open

Thank you Gunasekar. I installed a new Windos 11 update to my computer and this appears to have fixed the problem as Outlook is now working as normal. Thank you for your help.
