I just tried the NEW outlook.
I can sort by names A-Z, but then I have to scroll to find the person.
The old outlook, I could just type the first letter and it would jump to that name.
Is there a setting in the new outlook that allows you to jump to the letter when typed?

Absolutely ridiculous that something as significant as this functionality for productivity was overlooked...and after this many responses for it still to not have been prioritized is amazing! Shame on you Microsoft...you need to do better!

Agree, still using old Outlook until they make OWA better.
Still an issue, 10 pages and it hasn't been fixed yet, back to Outlook Classic for me again.
I had to go back to old Outlook, I couldn't take it. Between losing the ability to sort by sender, or subject using type ahead and then not being able to drag and drop an email into Teams, I couldn't take it. When I said I'm leaving old Outlook, I was prompted to answer why. I did see some notes that these features were things they were working on. When they bring it back, I'll switch back, but it was just too painful, it was like having a hand tied behind my back while trying to work.
